Each year, 9,000 women in Alabama believe that abortion is the only solution to an unplanned pregnancy. Sav-A-Life, Inc is the oldest and largest pregnancy care ministry in Alabama. We are dedicated to putting an end to abortion by supporting one woman at a time, to spare her and her child from abortion.
We are now impacting families throughout the Birmingham Metro with THREE locations!
In 2019, Sav-A-Life Vestavia merged with the North Jefferson Women’s Center to form Sav-a-Life, Inc, so we can better serve the Birmingham Metro area. Learn why we are “Better Together”
In 2022, Sav-A-Life, Inc. opened our third location in the Crestwood neighborhood of Birmingham. Through these three locations, we will be able to serve more women, men, and families in every area of the city.
With three sites strategically located on every side of the metro area, we offer our clients both crisis care and long-term mentoring to support their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. Our programs present clients with the good news of God’s love and equip them to succeed as individuals, spouses, and parents.

At Sav-a-Life, we offer free pregnancy testing, ultrasound, prenatal assessment, STI/STD testing for men and women, childbirth education classes, parenting classes, and fatherhood programming.

I passed by the Center quite a few times because I had an abortion scheduled. I was so broken, confused, depressed, & alone but something made me go in. Thank God they didn't mind praying with me every step of the way. My ultrasounds and counseling helped me to see my sweet baby as the beautiful blessing she is. I'm so thankful Save A Life helped me to find purpose in my unborn baby's life. At times I look at my beautiful child and wonder, what if I hadn't visited?

Darryl brought his 16-year old daughter in seeking an abortion. He kept insisting that his daughter was too young to be a mom and just couldn’t continue her pregnancy. However, upon visiting with our fatherhood coordinator who challenged him to be the godly, earthly father he claimed to be and then seeing his 22-week old grandchild on ultrasound, he knew his plans and God’s were not the same. That dad is now a doting, glowing grandfather to an adorable 9-month-old Christian.

When Latoya realized she was pregnant again, she was completely overwhelmed. She already had two special needs, non-verbal daughters that required much care and attention and their father was deceased so she had no help. She couldn’t imagine having to take on another special needs child. God changed her mind when her ultrasound revealed Journey’s strong heartbeat at 6.5 weeks. She instantly fell in love and chose to accept God’s plan for this baby.
